Variable Arguments

Within trial definitions arguments may be replaced by a question mark '?' or an asterisk '*' to mark them as a variable argument. If you want to reuse one of the variable arguments, add a numeric index to the question mark or asterisk for referencing the i-th variable argument.

You can attach a label to a variable argument to influence the way they are listed in the result file. The standard column name is ‘trlname’_Vx where x is the i-th variable argument within the trial definition. If you append an equal sign (‘=’) with a text label, this label will be used as the column header for this variable in the result file.
