The ST-command starts the presentation of a tone definition. Auditory and visual stimuli can be presented parallel or nested because both modalities can be turned on and off independent of each other by SP/CS or ST/CT commands. Nested presentation can be realized by splitting the time intervals of both modalities in unimodal, bimodal, unimodal time intervals.

To start both modalities at the same time, first start the visual stimulus with a waiting time of zero. Then, start the auditory stimulus with the desired exposure time.
