Response Registration

Commands:

          RK          Record Keys

          WK          Wait for Key

          GR          Generate Response

          TL          Tap on Location

          TP          Tap on Pictures

          VK          Activate Voicekey

If you want to record responses you must use the RK-command. This trial command activates the response keys and records latencies and name of key presses. Responses can only be recorded if trial definitions are executed within blocks. RK-commands are not supported in trials that are called directly from the session level by the RUNTRIAL-session command or that are called as nested trials from another trial definition by the RT-trial command.

The reaction time measurement starts with the next non-timeless command following the RK-command. Timeless trial commands are commands which do not produce an observable event e.g. SF (Set Font), SC (Set Color).

The following conditions cause the end of a response registration period:

          -          If maximum reaction time has been reached (see MaxRt argument of the RK-command).

          -          If all responses have been recorded (see N(Key) argument of the RK-command).

          -          If a FB-command is executed.

          -          If a WK- or another RK-command is executed.

          -          At the end of a trial definition.

A continuous recording of responses can be achieved by beginning each trial definition with the RK-command and by keeping this registration active up to the end of the definition.

The WK-command waits for a single key press without recording it. Use this command for subject-paced trial execution.
