Value

Optional numerical value or text. If not specified, the value has to be set by an expression before first use.

Unlike parameters which have a constant value that cannot be changed, a value of a variable can be updated by an expression. Use this feature to update values from trial to trial or block to block during the execution of an experiment.

Variables can be used instead of static parameters as part of trial and session commands. Variables can also be used within the definition of text pictures to include variable text, and in vector graphic pictures (draw) to change vector drawings dynamically.
